A free one-line logic puzzle, with a new board every day
Trail is a puzzle with one rule: draw a single unbroken line from the ring through every tile of the board, exactly once. You can play it in your browser, with no sign-up, or on your iPhone.
Play TrailHow it works
Drag your finger from tile to tile. The line may not cross itself and may not skip a tile. Reach the last tile with every tile covered and the level is solved. Take a step back by tapping the line, or start over with the restart key.
The pieces
Each new piece is introduced on a level of its own, one at a time, so you always meet it before it has to be solved around.
- Walls block a step between two tiles.
- Arrows say which way the line must leave their tile.
- Beamers come in pairs: the line steps into one and carries on from its twin.
- The flag marks the tile where the line must end.
- Ice allows no turning: the line must keep going the way it came in.
- Doors can be passed one way only, the way the arrow points.
- Keys and locks need the key on your line before you may enter the lock.
Every level can be solved
Every board is generated from its level number and solved by a program before you ever see it, so there is always at least one way through. Level 42 is the same board for everybody, forever. A hint is one tap away, and the daily board is played without it.
A new board every day
Each day has a Trail Daily, the same board for everybody, drawn from deep in the ladder. See today's puzzle or play it now.
Free, with nothing in the way
Trail is free, with no ads, no account and no tracking of you. The only thing counted is anonymous: which parts of the game are played. It works offline once it has loaded. The level count is a million, and the climb gets a little harder every level.
